Sanctus (2013) was premiered by Lenoir City High School Chamber Singers in Lenoir City, TN, under the direction of Phil Holloway. This joyful mass segment pays homage to the church bells calling people to mass, the voices often mimicking the striking sound of a carillon. Sanctus also draws from some harmonic practices from the medieval and Rennaissance periods, reinventing them to fit in with the twentieth century, making it a fantastic communion anthem or concert opener!
